This Ethiopian heirloom coffee variety, Wush Wush, is huge on flavour! From the moment we cupped (sampled) this coffee, we knew we had to share this vibrant fruity micro-lot coffee with you.

This rare, low-yield coffee variety has gained popularity in the specialty coffee scene due its uniquely complex and long lasting flavour notes that reminded us of strawberry, tropical jam, and grapefruit.  We did notice a slight winey undertone as well, adding another layer of complexity to your brewing experience.

Deliciously smooth and fruit forward, this light roast coffee makes for a wonderful pick-me-up,  both hot or cold.

-------

Produced and processed by Israel Degefa’s private estate and washing station, Wush Wush’s unique profile has resulted in its rise in popularity rivalling Geisha as one of the top specialty coffee varieties.

To further bring out this coffee’s sweetness, this single- origin, single variety coffee is dried on raised beds under the sun for 4 days (96 hours)!

If you have never tried specialty coffees and are seeking a new coffee experience, give our Ethiopia Wush Wush microlot a try :)

Aromatic and sweet!

Wush Wush is one of the best here. The Ethiopian beans I usually taste with such a strong aroma tend to be on the acidic side, but Wush Wush leans towards sweetness. It’s not easy to find a bean that balances both aroma and sweetness. It’s perfect.
