-------
The Indigenous Tzetal community that grew and harvested this coffee originate from Yaialon, and have long embraced organic farming traditions.
Like other smallholder farmers in the area, many make a living with just 2 hectares of land, carefully nurturing their coffee plants using natural methods like fertilizing with coffee cherry pulp and enriching the soil with leaves and ash. Other practices like intercropping, growing coffee alongside other crops like corn and fruits, also help create a sustainable and balanced farming ecosystem.
